Hello there, Justin!
The force is strong with
Disney After Hours ticketed events. In the past, I’ve done
Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom Park, and I was amazed by how many attractions we got to ride with little to no wait time. You’ll find that you’ll get incredible photos with lower crowds too.
If you plan on arriving earlier than 7:00 p.m., you’ll need to show valid park admission and a theme park reservation for Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If you are in Disney’s Hollywood Studios before the event begins, head towards the Main Entrance at 7:00 p.m. to check-in. There may be check-in sites available inside the theme park, so you don’t have to exit and re-enter the park. Once you check-in, you’ll get a wristband indicating that you are participating in the After Hours event.
If you’re going to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for the After Hours event, I suggest arriving at the Main Entrance to Disney’s Hollywood Studios 30 minutes before 7:00 p.m. for official event check-in. When you arrive at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, let a Cast Member know that you have a ticket for Disney After Hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If you arrive at 7:00 p.m., you’ll have some extra time in the theme park to take advantage of your favorite attractions before the event officially begins at 9:30 p.m. Once the event officially starts, you’ll find that wait times drop significantly in the
My Disney Experience app.
Between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m., you’ll see that Cast Members will funnel Guests who aren’t participating in the After Hours event out of the park. Guests need wristbands to enjoy the After Hours attractions and delicious snacks.
Here’s a pro tip: If you’re a Star Wars fan like me, I recommend spending lots of time in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. You can take some out-of-this-galaxy photos in front of the Millenium Falcon at night (especially if you have a lightsaber).
Let me know if you're looking for any other tips or tricks.
May the magic be with you!Melanie
