Hi Moms! If I have a ticket to the Halloween Party, but not a park ticket for that day, can I make FastPass+ reservations for the 4:00-7:00 time period when the park is still open, but the party hasn't started yet? Thanks so much!

Hi Jim, welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so excited to see that you’re planning ahead for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party during a visit to Walt Disney World this coming August! My family and I were able to attend a party last August and it was simply fantastic! We were somewhat concerned about getting into the “spooky spirit” in late summer, but it took no time at all! We had a blast enjoying all the special surprises throughout Magic Kingdom Park and enjoying all the themed snacks and treats!

On the day of our Party, we did not have a Theme Park Ticket either. With your Party Ticket, you are able to enter Magic Kingdom at 4 pm on the day of your Party! That gives you a few hours to enjoy the Park before the party gets going. We did that very thing, and were even able to secure 2 FastPass+ reservations to enjoy prior to the Party starting! Just know that the specially themed ride enhancements will not be available until 7 pm when the party officially gets underway.

Jim, I hope this information helps you make the best plans possible for your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! As you are planning out your Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party experience, I definitely recommend that you and your family take it slow on the morning of the Party, as it goes late into the night. If your kids are willing to sleep in and/or take a nap, it would be a good morning to do so! You’ll likely want to stay there late enough to at least watch Disney's Not So Spooky Spectacular Fireworks and the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” stage show, two must-see spectaculars! Also, plan to dress in costume or your favorite Halloween flair, as many people will be doing the same around you, and the atmosphere is just fantastic!

It has been my pleasure to look ahead with you to your fall visit, and reminiscing about one of my favorite Walt Disney World experiences! If we can help you out in any other way in the future, please do not hesitate to return to see us! Meanwhile, check out this post on the Disney Parks Blog regarding this year’s Halloween Parties, and keep checking the Blog for frequent updates on all this happening around the Parks!

    Wishing you many Happy Haunts!
