I have a ticket to disneyland, it is under my name but I want to give it to my wife. Am I able to transfer it to her? If so, how can I do that?

    Hi Ruben!

Thanks so much for reaching out to us here at planDisney. I can see that you have plans to be at the Happiest Place on Earth next week. You must be getting so excited! Let's take a look at your question so you can feel prepped with pixie dust and ready to hit Main Street.

Technically, standard theme park tickets are not assigned to an individual Guest until that Guest swipes through those Main Entrance turnstiles. At that time, the Cast Member will take a photo of the Guest, which will pop up every time the ticket is scanned. If the ticket is currently under your name, you do not need to change anything ahead of time for your wife to be able to use it as long as she is the first person to scan the ticket on your park day. If you'd like to transfer it to her name ahead of time, I'd recommend calling the Guest Services team to see if they can provide some assistance on their end.

If you'd like your wife to have access to her ticket on her own phone and in her Disneyland account, this can easily be done ahead of time as well, without changing the name. You'll both want to be logged into your accounts when you head into the Disneyland app. Tap the three-line icon in the bottom right-hand corner and select "My Tickets & Passes". You will stay here and scroll to the ticket you want to transfer. Your wife will tap the "+" in the top right-hand corner to select "Link Tickets and Passes". Here, she can choose "Type ID" and manually enter the ticket confirmation number found under the barcode on your app, or simply scan it by selecting "Camera". Once complete, you both should see the ticket in your accounts. If you're planning to add Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you may want to link your ticket as well. This would give you both the freedom to book Lightning Lanes individually or for each other to ensure you receive the same return windows.

Ruben, I know that can be a lot to take in - I hope you're still with me! If you are thinking about adding the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, not only will you maximize your time in the magic by hopping into shorter queues on select attractions, but you can really capture those memories with the unlimited digital PhotoPass downloads included with this upgrade. I absolutely love this perk as it encourages my family to hop in front of all those PhotoPass photographers and makes those memories last forever!

I sure hope this was helpful! If you have any more questions ahead of your visit, you know where to find us here at planDisney

    Magic awaits!
