I have a 1978 ticket from disney world....can i trade it in for a new one??

    Hi, Brenda!

I did some research on your 1978 ticket to see what you might have.  I thought tickets could get confusing now, but boy was the ticket system crazy back then!

There were General Admission tickets, Adventure Books, Adventure Magic Key ticket books, 2 Day Unlimited Passports, Additional Ride tickets, and I'm just getting started!

I really could not begin to guess what kind of ticket you have or if it has any value.  If you want to see its worth, take it to a ticket window at any theme park or Downtown Disney to see what they can tell you about the ticket and its value.  It may just be a ride ticket that was purchased at 10 cents, or it could be more, I just do not know.

If you want to read more about the history of Walt Disney World tickets, visit and search "1970's Walt Disney World Tickets."  It is interesting to see the ticket options and how the tickets have evolved over the years.

Thanks for your question and good luck!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
