I have a ticket from 1991 that was for 5 days. Two days were used. How can I update the remaining three days to a current ticket so I can make a reservation for visiting the parks now?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Gayle.

It's always quite a pleasant surprise to find  Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets from many years ago. It's like Christmas came a little early for you this year.

The good news is that Walt Disney World continues to honor all non-expired theme park tickets with remaining days on them. To use them, however, you'll need to convert the tickets so they can be used with the MyDisneyExperience program. They'll need to be attached to new codes that can be inputted into the system online. To do this, the easiest way is to call (407) 939-1289 and a friendly Cast Member will be happy to assist you. Once you've converted your old tickets they will expire 14 days after the first use if you didn't purchase the non-expiration option way back when.

Gayle, on top of your Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets, you'll also need park pass reservations to visit the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. Park pass reservations are like a virtual placeholder in line at the theme park you'd like to visit each day. Once your tickets are linked to your MyDisneyExperience account you can then visit the Park Pass Reservation website to start making your selections.

I hope you have so much fun visiting Walt Disney World, Gayle. If you have any other questions as you plan your most magical vacation, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm happy to help.

    Enjoy!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
