Hey there, Raelyn! Sending you the warmest welcome from planDisney!
It looks like you’re planning a summer visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! I have some great news about the timing of your visit, but we’ll get to that later. You’re here to learn about upgrading your single-park ticket to a Park Hopper!
While it may not be exactly what you were hoping for, here's the lowdown on upgrading to a Park Hopper! You can definitely upgrade your 2-Day, 1-Park Per Day ticket, but keep in mind that the upgrade will apply to both days. So, you won't be able to upgrade just one day on your 2-day ticket.
In order to upgrade your ticket, you can visit the Disneyland website or open the
Disneyland mobile app, tap the menu button (three-lined icon at the bottom right), and select “My Tickets & Passes”. Once you locate your ticket, you should see an option to make modifications. If you’re not seeing this in the app, or if you’d like some assistance in upgrading your ticket, don’t hesitate to
reach out to a friendly Cast Member who will be happy to help!
Now, Raelyn, let's talk about why that Park Hopper option may be a perfect fit. You'll have even more magic to explore! It looks like you’ll be visiting during the
Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration! This once-in-a-lifetime event will be packed full of entertainment, nighttime spectaculars, parades, and—of course—unforgettable memories! The magic will be too big for one park! The celebration will span across both
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park, so those Park Hopper tickets will come in handy. You'll be able to bounce between both parks like Tigger!
Depending on the entertainment schedule, you may even be able to catch the return of the
Paint the Night Parade at Disneyland before hopping on over to California Adventure to experience the brand new show,
World of Color Happiness!
As you may already know, you’ll need to make a
theme park reservation for the park you’d like to visit first. Then, any time after 11 AM, you can take advantage of the Park Hopper option by visiting the other park. You won’t need to make a reservation for the second park you’ll be visiting each day.
Here’s my go-to strategy for having the perfect Park Hopper Disney Day: I personally love to rope drop at one of the parks in the morning, then grab a bite to eat before hopping over to the other park. It adds a nice change of pace to my day since each park has a different, yet equally magical atmosphere. The best part is that there’s plenty of entertainment—including unique nighttime spectaculars—at both parks. You really can’t go wrong!
I hope you have a truly magical visit that, if described by Mary Poppins, is practically perfect in every way!
