My ticket confirmation email said each guest needs a ticket And a reservation. What is the difference? Do I need to do any further steps after purchasing our Disneyland tickets? We have already purchased tickets for 4 of us for 2 days.

A warm welcome from all of us at planDisney to you, Sara. We're so glad you found us to ask this question. There's nothing I love more than planning for a visit to the Disneyland Resort. Theme park tickets and reservations are the first step, so let's take a look and make sure you're all set.

Just as you said, a valid theme park ticket and theme park reservation are required for each person to enter the theme parks during each day of your visit. A theme park ticket provides you with park admission and a theme park reservation reserves your spot to visit the theme park on a specific day. If you purchased your theme park tickets at the Disneyland website, you were prompted to select the dates of your visit which also created your theme park reservations. If this is the case, you should be good to go, but we can double-check just to make sure.

Head to the Disneyland site and click on "My Plans" which can be found under the heading "My Disneyland" toward to top right corner of the page. Here you will find a list of all confirmed theme park reservations. As long as you see a theme park reservation for each person in your party and for each day of your visit, you are good to go.

If you purchased One Park Per Day tickets, you will want to make sure that your reservations are for the theme park (Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park) that you wish to visit for each day. If you have park hopper tickets, your reservations will be for the theme park where you will start your day and you can hop freely between the two parks beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Once that's all squared away, you can start planning all of the wonderful things that you will do and see during your visit. I imagine the Lunar New Year festivities should be taking place during your visit. Although, nothing has been officially announced yet. Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for any updates and announcements. It looks like the announcement for this year's celebration was made in November of last year, so I'm hoping we hear something soon. I always enjoy this celebration (and eating all the food) at Disney California Adventure Park.

I hope I was able to provide you with some information to put your mind at ease, Sara. If you find yourself with more questions, please come back to ask us. Otherwise, I wish you continued happy planning for your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
