Hi there Lisa,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! It looks like you have a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth coming up in just a few weeks - have you started counting down the days, yet? It'll be here before you know it!
For visits to the Disneyland Resort, you currently need both
theme park tickets and a
theme park reservation for each day you plan to visit. If you have just purchased standard theme park tickets through the Disneyland Resort website then you likely also made your park reservations as part of the purchase process, but you can check them on the
My Plans hub.
The standard theme park tickets grant access to one of the two parks for each day - either
Disneyland Park or
Disney California Adventure Park. Therefore, if you just purchased a base ticket and set your theme park reservation for Disney California Adventure Park for the day then you would not be able to also enter Disneyland Park to dine.
Instead, I would recommend calling a Cast Member at the Tickets line and purchasing the
Park Hopper option for your tickets! With this, you'll set a park reservation for the theme park that you'd like to start your day. Then, beginning at 11:00 AM, you'll be able to hop between both parks as capacity allows throughout the rest of the day. This means that you could experience an attraction in Disney California Adventure Park in the afternoon and then hop over to Disneyland Park in time for dinner that evening. It offers a lot more flexibility for your day!
I hope that helps, Lisa - thanks again for your question! Have a great time during your upcoming visit to the Happiest Place on Earth.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
