Hello again, Ann. I'm glad you've stopped back by to chat a little bit more about Space 220.
I feel for you not being able to secure advanced dining reservations for
Space 220 - yet! I say yet because I've had really great luck securing some of my must-try spots the closer it gets to my vacation. Dining reservations have to be canceled the day before or there is a $10.00 per person charge. I've noticed the closer it gets to my vacation, the more spots open up. Unfortunately, I think sometimes people will grab a whole bunch of reservations and then sort out where they actually want to go later. So my best advice for you is to keep trying. It has certainly worked for me!
As for walking up to Space 220, since the lounge now requires a reservation I haven't heard of people having good luck joining a walk-up list. However, it has happened. I am a huge propionate of asking because the worst that is going to happen is you are going to be told no. I'd go ahead and be there slightly before Space 220 opens for the day with your entire party. You can speak to the Cast Member about the availability for the day and maybe a little Disney magic will happen. You never know if you don't ask!
If you aren't able to dine at Space 220 on the day that you are at EPCOT at least you'll have a whole world of dining options to choose from. Some of my favorite spots are the chips and dip trio at
La Cava del Tequila washed down with a margarita, of course, fish and chips from the
Yorkshire Country Fish Shop, and the jambon beurre sandwich with the raspberry and lime macaron from
Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie.
I hope it works out that you'll be able to dine at Space 220 on your upcoming vacation, Ann. If you have any other questions, I'd love for you to stop back by again and
ask me. I'm here to help!
Enjoy!
