We're thrilled to be visiting WDW in Oct. w/our soon-to-be 4 yr old. We'd like to see Fantasmic and get the dinner package. If we eat there at noon, are we still able to head back to our hotel for his nap, and come back for the show at 7?

    Hi Amanda!

October is a wonderful time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. Magic Kingdom Park is all decked out in fall fashion and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party will be in full swing. It is a kid friendly non scary time and is my favorite extra event offered at Disney! Don't forget about The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival...this is a great way to spend an evening!

The Fantasmic! Dinner Package is a great way to enjoy some lunch or dinner and have a VIP seat for a spectacular show! Whenever we plan on watching Fantasmic! we take full advantage of the dining package. Our favorite place to dine is at Hollywood & Vine. Since you will be dining for lunch your son will be able to meet his favorite Disney Junior characters! My Little Ones ask to come back to this restaurant every time we visit!

As a mom of kids around your sons age I know that getting the kids nap in is a “must-do while visiting Disney. Please take my advice and DON’T SKIP THE NAP (I may or may not know this from personal experience lol!) There is nothing worse than an overtired kiddo so we try to avoid that at all costs. Since you will be dining at noon I feel that you will have plenty of time to eat, get back to the Resort hotel for a nap, and head back to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for an evening of fun! I would say that as long as you are on a bus back to the park by 5:15 P.M. you will have plenty of time without feeling rushed!

I hope that you have the most magical time!
