I am thrilled to have scored an 8:25 AM reservation for my party of 7 at Cindy's Royal table. How much time do we need to allow for travel from the main gate to the castle? What advice do you recommend for us to be at the castle on time?

Hey Howdy Hey Brian and welcome back to planDisney!

Oh my goodness, Brian, I am so excited that you were able to score reservations at Cinderella's Royal Table in Magic Kingdom. There is no better way to start your day in Magic Kingdom than sharing a meal amongst royalty in the castle. You even will be able to meet Cinderella herself!! Gosh, that is just so exciting to hear and I cannot wait for you to have this noble experience! Ok, now let's talk about specifics to get to your reservation on time.

In planning your trek from the park entrance to Cinderella's Royal Table, I would make sure to budget in a good 10-15 minutes. This gives you ample time to stroll down Main Street U.S.A. and take your time. You might be inspired to get a picture with your party in front of Cinderella Castle at that time and this gives you plenty of time to do so!

The other part to consider is getting to the castle. Disney Resort Transportation starts to run approximately 45 minutes before the parks open. At this time, with the Early Theme Park Entry benefit, all guests staying at Disney Resort Collection and select hotels will have access to theme parks 30 minutes before the park's opening. So if Magic Kingdom opens on the day you are going to Cinderella's Royal Table at 8:30 a.m. EST, then resort transportation will start running approximately at 7:15 a.m. EST. I say this because most often, Magic Kingdom may see a greater rush of park-goers that day so be sure to get to the main entrance in plenty of time.

The other thing to note is the usage of your My Disney Experience app for your reservation. As long as you are close to your reservation location, you can check-in virtually through the app which may save a couple of minutes if your a running slightly behind arriving for your reservation. This works with all dining reservations by the way with mobile check-in so feel free to use this throughout your stay!

Best of luck to you and your party as you continue to plan for your honorable dining experience and a fun time full of Magical Memories. If you have any further questions please feel free to reach out, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
