Welcome back to planDisney, Vanessa – it's always wonderful to see a friendly face on the high seas! Wow, I’m so excited to hear that you have not one but TWO fabulous cruises on the horizon. While the Disney Wish and the Disney Magic offer different experiences onboard, I’m pleased to share that both of your cruises feature a celebratory Silver Anniversary at Sea itinerary! Let’s dive in and explore everything you have to look forward to.
Disney Cruise Line is commemorating 25 years of sailing the beautiful seas with these special celebrations throughout the summer. There are so many new details, treats, entertainment, and delights to look forward to – even for us seasoned sailors!
- All 3-night Silver Anniversary at Sea Bahamian Cruises on the Disney Wish WILL NOT include the 25th anniversary fireworks, which unfortunately means you will not experience this on your June sailing. These itineraries WILL include Pirate Night, a beloved Disney Cruise Line tradition.
- All 4-night Silver Anniversary at Sea Bahamian Cruises on the Disney Magic WILL include the 25th anniversary fireworks, which aligns with Formal Night. These sailings also include the traditional Pirate Night so you can experience a rare two nights of fireworks at sea! Please know that entertainment is always subject to change.
- All Silver Anniversary at Sea sailings this summer, on all ships, WILL include the new Shimmering Seas Soiree (regardless of whether you have the commemorative fireworks or not).
The Shimmering Seas Soiree is a reimagined Captain's Reception, where our host and special friends will offer a toast with Guests to honor this special milestone together. Be sure to check your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you switch to “onboard mode” in the port terminal to confirm the exact time of this reception to be held in the Atrium on all ships.
Have you listened to the brand new signature song, “Shimmering Seas” which honors the past, present, and future of Disney Cruise Line? Find it on your favorite music platform – I’ve already added it to my cruise playlist for our summer sailing! I can’t wait to be sitting on deck, drink of the day in my hand, staring at the sea with this celebratory song playing; it perfectly captures the happiness and spirit of adventure I feel when cruising with Disney.
