Thrilled that we just booked another stay at the Poly for first of Dec. Naturally we're new to the "Magic Bands" system, and wonder what happens if one of them accidentally gets lost? Thanks for your wisdom in advance!

    Hi Sharise!

We just love the Polynesian Resort and I'm very excited for you. No worries - everyone is new to the MagicBands. They are still in the testing phase so things may change a bit here and there.

There will be times that Guests will misplace their bands before or during their trips - its just part of life. If you lose your MagicBand or card while you're at Disney World, go to any Guest Relations location or visit a Disney Resort Hotel Lobby Concierge. They can deactivate it for you and provide you with a replacement MagicBand or card.

If you should lose your MagicBand prior to your trip, go to and go to your My Disney Experience account. From there, visit the MagicBand section of My Profile and select the "Deactivate" button next to the MagicBand or card. Select MagicBand or card is lost when asked for the reason. You can also deactivate a MagicBand using the My Disney Experience mobile app.

If you have another MagicBand or card available that you can use for your trip, you can activate it on the MagicBand section of My Profile in your My Disney Experience account. If your visit is more than 10 days away, you can contact Disney to have a replacement MagicBand shipped to you. If your visit is less than 10 days away, they can assist you once you arrive at your resort.

Here is a list of Frequently Asked Questions about MagicBands that you may find helpful.

Please feel free to visit us with all of your planning questions. It is our pleasure to assist you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
