Ahoy there, Megan!
Welcome aboard planDisney! It sounds like you and your crew have a spook-tacular adventure ahead with a
Halloween on the High Seas sailing. I can already picture your little Mouseketeers dressed in their best costumes, trick-or-treating around the ship—it’s going to be frightfully fun!
When it comes to the youth spaces, little ones
must be fully toilet trained to participate in the
Oceaneer Club or Oceaneer Lab. That means your 3-year-old will need to be able to use the restroom completely on her own, even if she’s with her older siblings. I know that’s not the news you were hoping for, but there’s still hope with a few months left before you set sail. Picture “Go the Distance” playing in the background—she’s training for her own hero moment! With a little practice and determination, she’ll be ready to “find where she belongs” alongside her older siblings, making crafts, playing games, and having the time of her life in the Oceaneer spaces by the time the ship leaves port.
If she’s not quite ready by embarkation day, no worries! The “it’s a small world” nursery! is a fantastic option, and the counselors there are amazing at keeping little sailors entertained. Plus, don’t forget to check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for Open House times in the Oceaneer Club and Lab. Those are the perfect opportunities for the whole family to experience the magic together. I’ve had a blast during Open House myself—I may have built a virtual roller coaster or two when
sailing on the Wish.
I hope this helps as you prepare for your spooky sailing. Before you know it, your family will be making magical memories at sea—costumes, candy, and maybe even a little potty-training pixie dust included.
Sea ya real soon with a July full of fireworks at sea and memories that sparkle like pixie dust,
Dustin
