Hi, Katie, and welcome to planDisney! Can I just take a moment to congratulate you? How exciting that you'll soon have a little one to share Disney Destinations with! When I've visited with my nieces and nephew, it's like seeing Walt Disney World again for the first time through their eyes. I applaud you for starting early. And running a marathon three months in? You are simply amazing!
I have some good news for you! You can absolutely stop to feed your baby during your marathon. There will be many places along the course for spectators, and your husband can meet you there. A few weeks before
Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, a virtual event guide will be published, and within it will be details for exact spectator locations and times. You can then use that to coordinate with your husband. Whenever I've participated in a
runDisney race in the past, I've found it helpful to text with my personal cheer squad during the race, so we don't miss each other. Please keep in mind that you'll need to maintain a 16-minute per mile pace, even with stops.
Katie, have you thought about how you want to celebrate your marathon accomplishment? Consider pampering yourself with a massage or a facial at
The Grand Floridian Spa. Treat yourself with a special meal, treat or merchandise at
Disney Springs. Or perhaps you'd rather simply relax by the pool at your
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel. However you choose to celebrate, I hope you feel special and proud.
Congratulations again, Katie! I hope you have a great marathon weekend experience and that you bring any other questions you have to us here at planDisney.
Have a magical trip!
Melanie
