We will have our three grandchildren at DW in Oct 2013. Boys are 5 and 6.. Girl is 6. We are looking at the Pirates League. We see that the girl can become a mermaid. Is it as exciting an experience for the girls as for the boys?

Hello Donna!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom´s Panel.

How wonderful to visit Walt Disney World with your grandchildren and to share such magical moments.

The Pirates League is one of my favorite experiences at Walt Disney World.  Looking at my kids laugh and interact with Captain Jack crew is my favorite part and the makeover is outstanding.  I highly recommend this experience.

For girls The Pirates League offers two different makeovers - Empress or Mermaid.  My daughter enjoyed both experiences, but the Mermaid is her favorite - even over Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!

The Mermaid makeover features an aqua-blue makeup and beautiful color changing accessories - when expose to the sun.

At The Pirates League you will find lots of shirts, costumes and accessories, but I suggest bringing your own and making a unique look.  My kids are quite creative when designing their own costumes.

As you can see, I really enjoy The Pirates League ... and yes, someday I will get my pirate makeover.

Glad to help you plan a fun and magical Disney vacation.
Thank you for visiting and feel free to write to us again.
