    Three families, 6 adults 5 year old and 16 year old planning a trip to Disney World for November 15-22 2014. Will the resorts and parks be decorated for Christmas? Also can't decide between POR or Wilderness Lodge any help appreciated. So excited!! Thanks

    It sounds like you have a great Walt Disney World visit planned. The Christmas decorations start appearing right after Halloween and are in place by Thanksgiving. So the holiday finery should be in evidence all over when you arrive.

    Just last week, I booked two Disney visits: one to Port Orleans Riverside and one to Wilderness Lodge. So I understand your dilemma!

    Port Orleans is a beautiful resort, close to Epcot and Hollywood Studios and offers water taxi service to Downtown Disney. The resort has great pools, grounds and recreational opportunities. Your 5-year-old may like the playground and the fishing hole.

    I always enjoy Boatwright's Dining Hall, the table service restaurant at Port Orleans, and there is a nice food court. The Yehaa Bob cabaret show in the River Roost Lounge is a can't-miss for many families.

    Because Port Orleans is a moderate resort, it should be a bit less expensive than the deluxe Wilderness Lodge.

    I especially love the Pacific Northwest atmosphere of Wilderness Lodge at the holidays. It, too, has great pools and beautiful grounds. Wilderness Lodge is conveniently located near Magic Kingdom and has a children's activity center.

    One of my favorite Disney restaurants, Artist Point, is in the resort, as is my favorite Disney bar, Territory Lounge. Whispering Canyon Cafe is also a fun dining spot.

    For me, the decision would come down to proximity and price. If you plan to spend more time at Magic Kingdom and the restaurants and activities in the Magic Kingdom area resorts, I would go with Wilderness Lodge.

    If you are more inclined toward Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Downtown Disney's parks and restaurants, I would lean toward Port Orleans.
