Of the three dinner shows listed, which is the best show and food deal: Mickey's Backyard BBQ, the Polynesian, or the Hoop Dee Doo? We are a party of 20 going in Aug and the kids range in age from 2.5 to 9. The BBQ doesn't include drinks, either?

    Hi Patricia,

I think everyone has their favorites but of the 3 you've listed, I'd vote for Mickey's Backyard BBQ. Its great fun for guests of any age! Your chances of your party being seated at the same table or close to each other are better here - not guaranteed but the tables are pretty long. Make sure you arrive with your whole party a little early which may increase your chances of sitting together. If you aren't seated together, you will be able to get together after eating.

The food is awesome, there is a LOT of it & its all you can eat. There is something for everyone including hot dogs, hamburgers, BBQ ribs, BBQ chicken, mac & cheese, cole slaw, baked beans, corn on the cob, corn bread (there was a lot more but I don't recall everything - I do remember everything being delicious!).  Drinks are included in the price of your meal (tea, water, lemonade, punch, beer & wine). Desserts were Mickey's Ice Cream Ear Bars, frozen fruit bars and the swirly pops.

The entertainment is a lot of fun for the whole family including a live band and a rope demonstration. The pavillion is big and there is a lot of room to move around which makes it easier when dining with kids.

A quick tip about MBBBQ - when the characters 1st come out - every kid rushes out to see them at the same time - that is followed by their parents trying to get pictures & videos of them - this causes a little chaos.  Not to worry - it calms down after a few minutes. In addition to the main dance floor, there are 2 little ones on the sides.  Also keep your eye to the area just outside of the pavillion (to the left if you are facing the stage). During breaks the characters will often go there for photo ops for kids.

Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
