We (three different families that have adopted a sibling set of 7) are celebrating our adoptions from foster care (after 5 years)! These kids have been through so much---I'm hoping for some ideas to make it as magical & memorable as possible!

    Hello, Jamie!

Welcome to planDisney! Congratulations on this huge milestone in your "Happily Ever After" as a family! What an incredible celebration for all of you! I would love to share some extra-magical experiences at the Disneyland Resort.

Character dining experiences have delivered some of my fondest memories as a kid, and now as a mom taking my own kids! I have an extra soft spot for Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park because of the location on Main Street, U.S.A. but we also love choosing a character dining option at one of the resort hotels to kick off or finish up our trips on days when we aren't in the parks.

If your family includes big Disney fans then you might love Walt's Main Street Story Tour, which includes a special visit to Walt's apartment! The space is a beautiful reminder of all that Walt struggled through in creating the stories we know and love, not to mention Disneyland Park itself.

The experience we find ourselves going back to again and again is the World of Color Dessert Party. I was just barely able to see the brand-new version of the show, World of Color — ONE, which is all about the difference that one brave person can make in the lives of the people around them. I think it would be a beautiful experience for your family whether you choose the dessert party, a dining package, or use the virtual queue.

Here are some other quick ideas for you!

Jamie, there are so many special experiences at the Disneyland Resort. If you have questions about magical things for certain ages or interests (like princesses or Jedi) I would love to help you with more ideas. You can always send me a note here! Sending so many happy thoughts and congratulations to your magical family!

    Keep moving forward!
