Welcome to planDisney. I see that you are planning a vacation to Walt Disney World rather soon. I love this time of year in the parks because my favorite festival is in full swing, the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts! So make like Judy and HOP to your answer.
One of my favorite ways to visit the parks is with the Park Hopper option. This gives you the freedom to visit whichever park you want throughout the day. For example, we love to start our day at Animal Kingdom, then hop over to EPCOT for lunch and to stroll around the World Showcase. Sometimes we’ll hop between 3 parks in one day, depending on how our interests change throughout the day.
Alright, so there are 2 ways to purchase 3-day theme park tickets with the park hopper option. You can purchase them via the
Walt Disney World website or through the
My Disney Experience app. Either way that you decide to purchase them, you will first need to create an account. Here are the steps to create and purchase your tickets via the website.
- Go to the website and click the Log In or Create Account button at the top. Follow the steps to create and verify your account.
- Hover over the Tickets & Parks tab and click the Buy Theme Park Tickets button
- From here, you can choose the Theme Park Ticket option or another multi-day offer if available.
- Next, you will choose the number of days you would like and the first day that you would like to visit the parks. Then you will scroll down and choose the Park Hopper Option. Select the number of tickets for each traveler's age, then click continue to check out.
After checking out, you can find and assign tickets to the people in your party by going to the My Plans & Tickets button under the My Disney Experience tab at the top of the screen.
The steps on the My Disney Experience app are very similar.
- From the home screen, click on the 3 bars (≡) at the bottom right-hand corner.
- Click My Tickets & Passes, then click the plus button at the top right-hand corner.
- Click the Select Tickets button, then follow the steps as you would in the website directions above.
After checking out, you can find and assign your tickets in the My Tickets & Passes section.
Since you plan to park hop, you will probably want to utilize one of the many convenient transportation options provided at no additional cost. When traveling between the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, the monorail will zip you right there. You fly high across the resorts between EPCOT and Hollywood Studios on the Skyliner. From Animal Kingdom, you can hop on one of the buses to any one of the other parks. I think you are really going to have a lot of fun trying out all the fun options for hopping around the parks.
