Will be three adults and a toddler being almost two years old visiting Walt Disney World in May. If we should decide to buy Individual Lightning Lane for Tron or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, can we still ask for rider switch, so nobody has to ride alone?

    Hi there, Stephan!

Your magical May vacation will be here before you know it - how exciting! I'm sure you must be counting down the days until you're making memories at The Most Magical Place on Earth.

Incorporating Rider Switch with Individual Lightning Lane selections is a fantastic way to ensure everyone gets to experience the thrills of Tron Lightcycle / Run or ride through a diamond mine on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, without anyone missing out or riding solo.

Rider Switch is a wonderful service offered by Walt Disney World for attractions with height requirements, allowing adults to take turns waiting with the littlest Mouseketeers without having to queue up all over again. When you're using Individual Lightning Lane access for these attractions, simply inform the Cast Member at the attraction's entrance about your wish to use Rider Switch. They'll guide you on how to proceed so that while one adult enjoys the ride, another can stay with the toddler, and then switch roles without the need for the second adult to wait in the standard queue.

Rider Switch is a great way to manage your time in the theme parks, ensuring everyone in your party has a chance to experience must-do attractions, while also caring for your little one. Just a little reminder, make sure the adult waiting with the toddler is visible to the Cast Member when requesting Rider Switch to ensure everything goes smoothly.

Wishing your family a pixie-dusted visit to Walt Disney World in May, filled with fun and magical memories! Please come back and visit us here at planDisney if you have any more questions - we're happy to help.
