Howdy, Rosmarie! What a surprising and magical trip this sounds like, and man, a surprise trip? Sign me up, right away!
While I haven’t seen any formal Breast Cancer events at
Walt Disney World Resort, there are a few things you can do to help celebrate your friend's survival-ship as well as that milestone birthday! First of all, grab those iconic pin buttons. Available at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Front Desk as well as City Hall in Magic Kingdom, you can snag a Birthday button (great for magical wishes all trip long!) and an I’m Celebrating button, which the whole party can wear to honor her. Your friend can scrawl SURVIVOR on hers with a sharpie. Pro tip: cover the message with a strip of scotch tape to ensure the Sharpie doesn’t rub off!
Secondly, I could stop by
the Chapeau in Magic Kingdom to pick up a set of pink Minnie/Mickey ears and have them personalized with either her name or “Survivor” in classic cursive writing. It’s a souvenir she can wear every day and set on her desk when y’all get back home. Be sure to don them before you snap a photo with
Disney’s PhotoPass Photographers for a perfect memory.
If you haven’t thought of making matching shirts, now’s the time! Check out Etsy for artsy inspiration or to hire a fellow crafter to create something special, perhaps in pink or the birthday girl’s favorite color. If I can help you further to plan this special birthday and milestone trip, please let me know. Plan with Pixie-Dust! ~ Lindsey P.
