What are your thoughts on Resort /Park hopping with a 2-3 year old bday girl, during 9 day stay? We want to keep the $ low too. Would love a deluxe. Do you think the consistency of one room is important? Is park hopping with a toddler a waste of money

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Gary!

I think park hopping with a young child actually is better than staying at the same Theme Park all day. With the park-hopper option added to your Theme Park admission tickets, you have the freedom to go back to your resort hotel mid-day for a nap or a much needed rest for your daughter - or for you! When everyone is well rested - you are able to go back to any Park of your choice. When my son was the same age as your daughter, we did this every single day of our visit - after a very long and cranky day without taking a break. It helped avoid melt downs and early nights - for both of us - for the remainder of our trip. I would also think visiting different resorts would be fun for your family if you daughter is a good traveler. She will really enjoy all the different sights and sounds of the various themes the resorts have to offer.

If you have your heart set on a Deluxe Resort, but still want to save some money - your best options would be Disney's Wilderness Lodge or Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. These are fantastic resorts, and you can catch some great deals on a standard room. Keep an eye on the Special Offers page before you book for deals and specials for your arrival dates.

Wishing you and your family a magical vacation, Gary!

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
