Hiya Jeff! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question! It's always a great day when I get a chance to talk Disney with a fellow planner!
As you are aware, new purchases of
Annual Passes to out-of-state Guests are paused at this time. The only option currently available is the Disney Pixie Dust Pass for Florida residents. I know many Guests are eagerly anticipating the return of the other tiered passes, including the Disney Incredi-Pass, which is the only option available to Guests in other states. Unfortunately, I do not have any updates at this time about a possible return date, but since renewals for current Annual Pass Holders are still being allowed, this gives me hope that it is only a matter of time until we see them again. I highly suggest following the
Disney Parks Blog for any news and announcements regarding a possible return.
While having an Annual Pass is the desired outcome, I would not let this hold you up from planning your next Walt Disney World stay! In the past, Disney has allowed Guests to upgrade their park tickets to Annual Passes during their stay by either calling the Walt Disney World Resort or stopping at any Guest Relations booth while onsite. If they become available again, this might be a potential option for you after you have already planned your next visit.
Jeff, I hope you get a chance to visit before the
Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration comes to an end. Disney planned to have the celebration last for up to 18 months, which has allowed many Guests to plan their stay to what works best for their schedule. The new nighttime shows at the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT are worth the price of admission alone!
I hope to see ya real soon!
Greg
