What is your thought on table service vs. quick service dining with 4 and 6 year old boys? Will we want to sit down for a break and have a real meal for lunch & dinner every day? Or will that just take up too much valuable park time?

Hello Amy! Thanks so much for your question. We typically plan one Table Service meal a day when we travel to Walt Disney World. My six year old son's favorite restaurant is Chef Mickey's, which is also a Character Dining Experience. Chef Mickey's is always his one request when it comes time to making Advanced Dining Reservations.

I think that you can plan two Table Service meals a day and still have plenty of time to enjoy the parks. After all, one of the best parts of Walt Disney World is all of the amazing food! Why not sit down and enjoy it? Some of our favorite experiences at Walt Disney World have been as we have sat down for a meal after a long day of park touring. I will plan Quick Service meals when I know a day will be particularly busy because Quick Service meals offer a bit more flexibility in regards to timing. Other than that, I prefer Table Service restaurants to Quick Service. After a long day of walking around and being exposed to the Florida climate, it is nice to just sit down and enjoy a meal that is not chicken tenders or personal pizzas.

It all depends on your interests, but I personally recommend the Table Service restaurants on property. I hope this helps your decision, and if you need anything else, please let us know. Have a magical Walt Disney World vacation!
