    I thought I read you can get a haircut in Magic Kingdom. Is this true? If so, can you tell me where and the approximate cost. Thank you.

    Hi Lisa!  You can indeed get your hair cut in the Magic Kingdom which is quite a treat even for the older generations!  You will want to head to the Harmony Barbershop located between the car barn and the Emporium in the Town Square section.  It is open seven days a week and starts taking customers at 9:00am. The last haircut is at 4:30pm each day.

    Starting this past summer you are now able to make advanced reservations for a haircut appointment.  To do this please call the Disney Dining number, 407-939-3463, and ask for children's activities.  Walk ups will also be welcome.  There will usually be three stylists on duty and one will always be reserved for walk up services.

    If you are around the area at noon try to stop by as this is the time that the Dapper Dans, a true barbershop quartet, is often stopping by to serenade the guests!

    Costs vary for the services.  The Harmony Barbershop is best known for First Haircuts.  This comes complete with a certificate and a pair of ears for the little one.  The cost of this is $18.  Adult haircuts are $19 and children's cuts are $15.  Beard and moustache trims are $10.  Add -ons such as colored gels and pixie dust can add another $5-$7.50 to the cut price.

    Payment can be made with credit cards and room charges but they are not able to process tips using this system. (They were working on this and this may have changed in the last month).  Be sure and bring cash for any tip you might wish to leave the stylist!
