Thought I had made my choice, but second guessing now! Which is better for family of 5 (dd5, ds14&9), 1 bed villa at BC, WL, or SS? or 2 bed villa @AKL?  Thanks so much for all the help!

    Hi Jennifer,

One of the great things about Disney Vacation Club membership is the ability to return many times and experience many different resorts.  Over our years as Disney Vacation Club members, my family and I have been able to stay at all of the Disney Vacation Club resorts at Walt Disney World.

Because you have a party of five, you will not be able to stay in a one-bedroom villa at Disney's Beach Club, the Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, or at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa.  At those resorts, one-bedroom villas only accommodate up to four guests, so you would need a two-bedroom villa.  At Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas, there are some one-bedroom units which accommodate five guests, so you could get a one-bedroom villa there.

There are so many things to consider when choosing a Disney Vacation Club resort.  Are you looking to spend the least amount of points?  Do you want the most space?  Do you plan to spend a lot of time at the resort, or will most of your time be spent in theme parks?  Which theme appeals the most to you and your family?

From your options, I would choose a one-bedroom villa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas.  This will typically require less points than the two-bedroom options at the other resorts.  I have stayed in a one-bedroom villa at Kidani Village at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas and found it to be quite spacious.  The theme there is amazing, and the rooms are beautiful.  From your list of options, my second choice would be a two-bedroom villa at Disney's Beach Club.  Again I love the theme, and Stormalong Bay pool area is amazing.  Also the walking distance to Epcot from Disney's Beach Club is wonderful.

I hope that this helps with your decision, Jennifer.  Have a great time planning, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
