Hello Moms (though I'm a Dad!)..I'm taking my 4 children from California to Disneyworld on May 11, 2011 and plan to have my son participate in the Jedi Training for his birthday, 5/13. Do they offer any enrollment consideration to children for their B.D.?

    Hi Daniel!

Well I'm a Mom who is actually a Dad!  I have to tell you that my son loved being a part of the Jedi Training Academy in Hollywood Studios! Over the last few years, they have changed the way they picked kids for this special interactive experience. Currently they are taking sign ups first thing in the day right by where the Jedi Training Academy stage is (next to Star Tours 2.0 the Adventure Continues). These sign ups are only open at the beginning of the day for all the shows for that day. There also is a standby line in case kids that signed up earlier that day do not show up at their scheduled show time, but those in the standby line are not guaranteed to be in a show. My advice to you is to arrive at Hollywood Studios 30 minutes before the Park is scheduled to open and when it opens, head straight to the side of Star Tours to sign up for that day's Jedi Training Academy. Make sure that you mention that it is your son's birthday too.  Also I would recommend that you stop by Guest Relations at the beginning of Hollywood Studios to get your son a Birthday Button.  Have your son wear his Birthday Button all day long because he may just receive some magical surprises throughout the day.

Typically the show times for the Jedi Training Academy vary according what time of year it is and the expected crowd levels. You will have to pick up a Times Guide when you get to Hollywood Studios to see the scheduled show times for that day.

I hope that you and your son has an amazing Birthday in Walt Disney World with many Jedi memories!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
