Hi, Jamie!
Your plans look fantastic!
For a birthday boy who is celebrating his big day while at Walt Disney World, you've created a great itinerary. Since he is an animal lover, Disney's Animal Kingdom is a great place to spend the day. Enjoy a delicious breakfast at
Tusker House Restaurant, at Donald's Dining Safari Breakfast at Tusker House, then head out on
Kilimanjaro Safaris, where you'll be sure to spots lots of of your little man's favorites. Go early so that the animals won't be seeking shelter from the warm mid-day sun. Next, head to Dinoland, U.S.A. for some great experiences with a dinosaur theme. Check out The Boneyard, which was a long-time favorite of my dino-loving kids, but be wary of Dinosaur. If the birthday boy is 40" tall by then, this may be a bit too scary for him. It's intense for the littler Guests (and even for my mother-in-law, but that's a different story...) Then, head over to
Camp Minnie-Mickey Greeting Trails, where the birthday boy can meet the one and only Mickey Mouse. :-)
Head back to your resort, shower, change and then head over to Downtown Disney and
T-REX, A Prehistoric Family Adventure. (The chocolate lovers in your group MUST order Chocolate Extinction for dessert. Delicious and really fun to watch, too!)
Don't forget the Special Occasion button mentioned in an earlier answer, as this will result in LOTS of birthday wishes for your little man throughout the day. You can also have a birthday cake delivered to one of the restaurants, another sure-fire way to make your littlest prince feel extra special!
