1st thks for all your help, I made all my ADR. Being in CA I started at 3:00 am PST. Question is, if they offer free dining during our stay in Oct will I need to start calling at 4 am PST as phones open at 7am EST? I understand that Free DD goes fast.

    Hi Allie!

    We aim to please! :-)

If a free Disney Dining Plan does come available during your stay, I would call the first day of the offer, but I wouldn't worry about calling at the minute the phones open. There usually is a limited supply, but it would be unusual for all to be taken the first day. For most of the offers I've taken advantage of, I can't remember 1 in which I called at the first available time. Now, if you're up and have nothing to do at that time then.....

But I seriously think as long as you call sometime that first day of the offer you'll be fine.

The second thing is to have your confirmation number (if this will be for the same vacation you already made advanced dining reservations on), and verify if they can re-package your current vacation at the new deal with free dining. There have been instances where they've built the offer into my current package, and other instances where I've had to re-package my entire resort stay. Not sure what dictates which, but I would be sure to inform them of your current reservation, so they can tell you what they can do, and you can make a sound decision then.

Good luck Allie and enjoy the good Disney food!
