Hi! Thinking of a weekend getaway to Disneyland in spring. Do you know if we have to show proof of vaccinations to enter the parks, like we have to show at many restaurants and other places? Please let me know whenever you get a chance. Thank you!

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Vasanti! You’re as welcome as can be. Thanks for visiting us at planDisney! I’m delighted to hEAR you’re thinking of a getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth. Spring is a beautiful time to visit Anaheim!

It’s a great idea to familiarize yourself with this important information prior to your visit, as guidelines continue to evolve and change. While the Disneyland Resort strongly recommends Guests be fully vaccinated or obtain a negative COVID-19 test prior to entering, there is no requirement for individuals of any age to obtain a negative COVID-19 test to enter the theme parks. Guests age 2 and older are required to wear a face covering while indoors, including attractions, restaurants, shops and restrooms. This information is updated often, hence I recommend looking at the experience updates frequently prior to your visit.

Vasanti, did you know that the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival will be back this spring? I am so excited about this! If you’re a foodie, this is something you won’t want to miss! From March 4 to April 26, you can experience various culinary demos, enjoy fantastic musical performances, and eat your way through the Festival Marketplaces! The Wine, Beer and Mixology Education & Tasting Seminars are a super fun way to quench your thirst AND learn a little something along the way.

If you’re looking for accommodations during your stay, my favorite hotel is Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, conveniently attached to Disneyland California Adventure Park. The elegant, craftsman-style ambiance is such a treat, and being that close to the theme parks is magical. Imagine being able to enjoy attractions and entertainment while sampling treats at the festival, then hopping into your hotel for a quick rest, to refuel for more fun into the evening and night!

Hopefully this gets you more excited to start planning that trip! As Mary Poppins would say, I hope your vacation is practically perfect in every way. Please come back and see us if you have any more questions as you plan your trip – we’re all EARS!
