We are thinking of going to wdw October 28-Nov.1, 2016. My son is a huge Star Wars fan. Would it be better for us to wait until 2017? Will more Star Wars exhibits be open if we wait?

    Hi Jaimee,

As you probably already know, a Star Wars-themed land is currently under construction at Disney's Hollywood Studios. At this moment in time, no opening date has been announced but, I personally feel that 2017 seems unlikely, judging by the ambitious plans in place to bring Star Wars to life.

The most recent information about this exciting new addition was posted on the Disney Parks Blog on February 22, 2016 in a post titled "New Details Announced for Star Wars-Themed Lands for Disney Parks".

The force is however already strong as far as Star Wars at Walt Disney World Resort is concerned.

Guests at Disney's Hollywood Studios are already able to experience the Star Wars Galaxy by visiting the Star Wars Launch Bay, experiencing Star Tours - The Adventures Continue, meeting Kylo Ren and Chewbacca and if your youngling is feeling brave, perhaps he would like to confront Darth Vader at Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple.

To top the day off, don't miss Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away and Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular.

Honestly, there's never been a better time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort for any Star Wars fan!
