I am thinking of going to WDW in November (2012). Would like to be there on Veterans Day. What is weather like in November? Would it be warm enough to go to water parks? Is it better (less crowds) to go 1st week in September?

    Hi Candice:

The temperature in mid-November will likely top out in the low seventies, but may dip down into the low sixties or even fifties, so make sure to bring layers of clothing in case of sudden or unexpected temperature changes. The good news is that hurricane season, which begins during the summer, tends to end early October, so while you may experience a little rain during your stay, you likely won't experience a major weather disruption. As a fellow New Yorker, I'd say the weather is warm enough to go to the Parks and Water Parks, especially since Disney Resort and waterpark pools are heated all year long.  If the weather gets too chilly for your liking, a jacket and a cup of hot cocoa should warm you up.

Disney World tends to be more crowded when schools are in session.  Most schools are in session around Veteran's Day (prior to Thanksgiving week vacation) as well as early September.  You'll likely experience similar crowds at both times.  However, the week of Thanksgiving week break, the Park starts to get more crowded.

    Enjoy your vacation.
