Hi, Daniel! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
There is something so special about seeing the magic of Walt Disney World through the eyes of your children. My own children are tweens now, and while that makes some aspects of vacationing easier, I wouldn't trade the time we spent at the Walt Disney World Resort when they were little for anything! I think if you plan ahead and do your resEARch, you'll be able to relax and make magical memories to treasure for a lifetime. It would be my pleasure to help you plan a stress-free vacation with your
little Mouseketeers.
First off, I would definitely plan on staying at a
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. Being close to the
theme parks is a must when you have little ones. All of the convenient complimentary
transportation options between the theme parks and Walt Disney World Resort Hotels makes it easy to stop back to your room for an afternoon nap. I don't think you can go wrong with any Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. I would suggest exploring the list of resort hotels on the Walt Disney World website and choosing one with features and theming that appeal most to your family.
Do you plan on spending a lot of your vacation at
Magic Kingdom Park? If so, you may like the convenience of staying at one of the Magic Kingdom area resort hotels located along the
monorail.
Disney's Contemporary Resort,
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa are all just a quick monorail ride from Magic Kingdom Park. Do your kids love to just keep swimming like Dory? The Big Blue Pool at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort is the largest hotel pool on Walt Disney World property. There is a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel to fit every guest's taste and budget.
As for how long to stay, that is really up to you. I would personally suggest staying for as long as your schedule and budget permit. Allowing yourself more time will let you explore all that the Walt Disney World Resort has to offer at a more leisurely pace. Factoring in plenty of time to rest is the key to a stress-free trip with young children. Speaking of rest and break times, be sure to take advantage of the
Baby Care Centers located in each of the theme parks.
