We are thinking about going to WDW, Aug. 27th till Sept. 2nd. Labor Day is Sept. 3rd, how will the crowds be and should we wait to go until the Sept. 3rd through Sept. 9th. Or would it be best to just do waterparks on Saturday? Thanks for all ya'lls help.

Hi Chelsea! September is one of the best times to visit Walt Disney World. The intense heat of the summer is over and crowds are lower once school starts. Families are reluctant to take their children out of school for a vacation in the early weeks of the academic year. While there will not be a drastic difference between the two weeks you are considering there should be fewer people in the parks the first week of September since that is the first week of school for many parts of the country.

Labor Day weekend will have crowds but my family has found this holiday more manageable than Thanksgiving, Easter, or Presidents' Day. Crowds at the water parks tend to increase on the weekends so you might want to consider visiting on a weekday. The best tip for avoiding crowds in both the theme parks and the water parks is to arrive early.

Please contact the Walt Disney World Moms Panel if you have more questions.
