    I was thinking of watching Illuminations from France (while eating a cheese plate and drinking wine). Is France a good viewing area for Illuminations; and where in France are good spots to watch from?

    Hi, Nicholas!

    As I sit here in the middle of an Ohio winter looking at snow, you certainly have painted a lovely picture of a warm evening strolling through the beautiful France pavilion in World Showcase!

    Any location around World Showcase Lagoon is great for viewing Illuminations.  I suggest you get your snacks and find a nice bench or spot near the water where you can see this amazing show filled with lasers, fireworks, and special effects.  You do not have to have "front row" viewing but you will want to be closer to the water than to the actual buildings in France. 

    If time allows after Illuminations, just find a nice resting spot and relax for 20 minutes or so until the crowds clear out.  Then enjoy a leisurely stroll to the front gates of Epcot in Future World, or out the International Gateway that leads to the Boardwalk area.  This park is so lovely in the evenings, I just love taking in the nighttime beauty of it all!
