    We are thinking of visiting from the UK 1-14th November. Please can you tell me when the Christmas decorations go up in Magic Kingdom as I really want to see them. Also, which Disney water park will be closed for refurb this winter? Thanks,

    Hi Laura,

    You are in luck! Halloween decorations will start coming down after the last Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party of the year on November 1. Magically, the Magic Kingdom Park will transform to a Christmas wonderland in time for the first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party of the year on November 8. Decorations will be going up all over Walt Disney World during your stay! 

    Both of Disney's water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, close for refurbishment each year but they do not close at the same time. Typhoon Lagoon typically closes first in the late fall/early winter followed by Blizzard Beach in mid/late winter. Occasionally both parks will be closed for weather related conditions.
