Hi! Thinking of visiting DisneyLAND in the future! How many days would you recommend allowing for? When are the best times/seasons to visit Disneyland? And since it’s not like DW (park hoppers) do you just purchase a 1 day ticket?

Hi there, Tess! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You have certainly come to the right place for help planning your Disneyland Resort adventure!

I like to recommend that folks plan for at least three days, but if you want to see and do it all at a relaxing pace, then I would go for four to five days. There are TONS of things to see and do and the Disneyland Resort really packs a lot of magic into its two theme parks, Downtown Disney District, and the three Disneyland Resort Hotels. Plus, there is always something new to discover throughout the year. My favorite times to visit happen to be spring or during Halloween Time. The weather is usually near perfect during these seasons and all the spooky fun available during Halloween just can’t be beat.

When it comes to tickets, you will most definitely want Park Hopper tickets. Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are mere steps away from each other so park hopping could not be easier. In fact, my family park hops nearly every day when we visit the Disneyland Resort. It also allows us to keep our plans flexible which makes our vacations stress-free. You will also want to consider adding Disney MaxPass to your tickets. Unlike the Walt Disney World Resort, FASTPASSES are not scheduled in advance and the traditional Disney FASTPASS Service included with your theme park admission requires you to visit physical distribution kiosks. With MaxPass, however, you can make FASTPASS selections through the Disneyland app once you are in the parks. It is an incredible time-saver and absolutely worth the extra fee, in my opinion!

I have lots more that I can share with you, so please stop by again with any additional questions!
