We are thinking about visiting Disney World in November 2013 and would love to see the holiday lights! Do you know the date or week that they will up and ready? We are especially interested in seeing the castle and Main Street in Magic Kingdom.

    Hi Helen!

I am glad to hear you are planning a vacation to Walt Disney World Resort!  I absolutely love visiting Walt Disney World Resort during the Holiday Season, there is something even more magical about seeing the Theme Parks and Resorts decorated so beautifully! There is no official date where the holiday decorations will be complete, however, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party begins on November 8th, so the decorations at Magic Kingdom Park should be up by then.  It may take a bit longer for the decorations at the Resorts and other Theme Parks to be completed, but the decorations on Main Street U.S.A and Cinderella Castle will be ready for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.  I like being there when the decorations are in the process of being setup, I love seeing the transformations that take place overnight, it amazes me!  The rest of the decorations should be displayed by the end of the second week of November.

Please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel as you begin planning your Walt Disney World Resort Vacation.  We would be happy to help answer any other questions you may have!
