Thinking about a visit next summer, are there enough rides and activities for a 3yr old?

    Hi Renee!

This is a great question and one that I can emphatically answer YES to! You will be amazed by the number of attractions that are perfect for your three year old! Throughout Walt Disney World Resort you will be able to enjoy attractions, dining, entertainment, and Character experiences that are perfect for all ages!

The Planning Guide for Parents of Preschoolers and Small Children is the perfect place to start! It has great tips to help you plan a magical vacation!

You can also visit the Attractions page and click on "Preschoolers" under "Age Interest." The page will be filtered to include attractions that are perfect for your little one.

When my kiddos were that age, we discovered their love of animals. We spent hours at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and in the aquarium at The Seas with Nemo & Friends Pavilion in Epcot. What made this truly special is that it was planned but became more magical than I could ever imagine.

Being the planner that I am, I had attractions, dining, entertainment, Character experiences, and more, outlined and ready to explore. As we entered into The Seas with Nemo & Friends Pavilion, our vacation changed and so did my perspective as a mom. My kids were entranced by everything in the aquarium. They didn't want to leave. So - we modified our plans, including our FastPass+ selections, and let them enjoy every minute of their vacation. We loved watching them learn and explore. It was magical.

It may not be the animals. It may be something else that catches the eye of your little one. Or - you may end up exploring every inch of every theme park. I encourage you to plan yet be flexible enough to let the magic happen in most unexpected ways. Plus - be prepared to have your breath taken away when you see Walt Disney World Resort through the eyes of your child.

Oh my goodness. I have happy tears in my eyes thinking about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Treasure every magical moment with your little one. Oh - and be sure to add Memory Maker to your vacation package. These are memories you will want to keep and share for a lifetime!
