I am thinking about using the dining plan. My question is can we use/get a quick service meal in exchange for a table service meal? Just in case I don't get reservations for a service table meal.

    Hello Patricia,

You certainly can forego a table service meal and substitute it for a quick service instead as you would be downgrading and not upgrading....but why would you?  As far as making reservations...keep trying, you can perhaps get a reservation from someone else's cancelation (this does happen) and if you can't get the ones you really want, well then there are many, many more options available for the picking.  Out of all the restaurants that offer table service dining, you should be able to secure something at some time during your vacation.  Again, I say....Keep trying!

When I was there on the dining plan, my daughter ended up getting sick so we had to cancel one of our table services at the end of our vacation.  Instead we chose 3 (there were 3 of us on the dining plan) quick service meals (sandwiches) which we brought on the plane with us for our trip home!  Although this was a nice bonus for us, normally we would not have "traded down" if we weren't forced to because of her illness, but it was nice that we had that option.  It makes the dining plan less attractive (price wise) if you were to do this with all your table service meals and frankly I don't think it would be worth you purchasing the dining plan for using it in this way.  Have a great trip!

    Best wishes,
