Hey there, Janet, and welcome back to planDisney! As an Alabamian, I always feel a little left out when I see that my neighboring Florida friends can still purchase annual passes! But alas, there’s someone - you - to feel left out with me! Maybe one day soon we will get to join the
Walt Disney World Annual Passholder club.
I spoke with a Cast Member from the Guest Services team and confirmed that if your Theme Park tickets were purchased as part of a vacation package - including a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel stay - they will have to be upgraded in person. As long as Annual Pass sales have resumed,
Theme Park tickets with one valid park day remaining can be upgraded to Annual Passes. However, you do not have to wait until the end of your trip to upgrade. You can upgrade on day one if you choose! To upgrade your tickets, you will need to see a Cast Member at one of the
Guest Relations locations.
For individual Theme Park Ticket purchases - not including a resort stay - you may be able to upgrade your tickets over the phone before your arrival. This process would only hold true if the Annual Passholder program returns as it was previously. And if you’ve hung around Disney for any length of time, you know that things are always changing. So if Annual Passholder sales resume before your fall trip, it won’t hurt to call and speak to a Cast Member about your options.
I hope this helps, Janet! If you have more questions as you plan,
come back by and ask me. After all, you’ve got a friend in me!
To Infinity and Beyond,
PG
