Thinking of my 5th trip to DW, was interested in MNSSHP in 2014! Me & my kids, DS 12, DD 9, DD6. Wondering when best & cheapest time to go so we can attend Halloween Party? Want to do Nov. so we got both MNSSHP and MVMCP but worried about crowd

    Hi Melissa,

You are considering combining two of my favorite Disney holiday celebrations into one Walt Disney World vacation ... how exciting. Although tickets for the 2014 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party will likely not go on sale until Spring 2014, it's never too early to begin planning. Keep an eye out on the Disney Parks Blog for announcements in Spring 2014 for the release of party dates. With history as an indicator, typically the two parties will run about a week apart, so you'll need to plan on a minimum of around 7 nights to take advantage of both magical events!

I've often referenced the unofficial site touringplans.com to choose the best week to travel, and according to their historical data, the week between parties in 2013 are anticipated to be tolerable crowd levels. You'll also want to keep a watchful eye on the Special Offers page for additional savings. Although always subject to change, the Fall discounts will typically release around late Spring of the same year. The value Resort Hotels will offer you the best overall savings, and I highly recommend researching the newest addition to the Resort Hotels, Disney's Art of Animation. Your kids will love it!

Wishing you pixie-dusted planning, Melissa, and please visit us again with further questions.
