Thinking of a trip for December and wondering which hotels have balconies. Also are you able to take your mask off if you are on the balcony to your room? Looking for ways to have a mask break outside. Thanks

    Hello, Deborah! Welcome to planDisney!

I hope our crew can help you many times before your trip to the Walt Disney World Resort during the most wonderful time of the year (you can read this singing in Sinatra's voice if you'd like)!

Many unique options offer private balconies, and my absolute favorite in this category is Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, as the Savanna View rooms will provide you with mesmerizing views of the animals!

You will also find private balconies at the exquisitely themed Disney's Wilderness Lodge, at the luxurious Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and the unusual Disney's Contemporary Resort

Private balconies can also be found at the whimsical Disney's BoardWalk Inn, at the classic Disney's Beach Club Resort, and the classy Disney's Yacht Club Resort

If you're into pools, Disney's Beach Club Resort and Disney's Yacht Club Resort are a great choice because the gorgeous Stormalong Bay connects the two of them and is an INCREDIBLE pool to enjoy!

You may also want to consider a 1 Bedroom Villa, as it will give you a living room to relax. They can be found across many Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts like Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village!

Since the balconies are part of your hotel room, I think it's wise to ask the Cast Members at your Disney Resort hotel about the policy for face coverings on balconies, as they may be different for each property. Some patios are close to public areas (like pools or restaurants), but others are quieter, so there may be different rules depending on the location of your room.

I hope you have many, many memorable moments at the Walt Disney World Resort in December, dear Deborah! If you have more questions before you hop on your sleigh, please let us know. Our planDisney team will be here to help. Please think of us as Mickey's helpful elves!

May the magic be with you,

    Julie
