I am thinking of taking my two grandchildren 4 and 8 to Disneyland March 14 /15. Is there a special event happening on these dates? It seems all the hotels are sold out and the price of the ticket is higher.

Hello, Cynthia! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

What a fun idea to take your grandchildren to the Happiest Place on Earth! At this time, the Disneyland Resort is bursting with exciting entertainment, limited-time dining choices, and new attractions. You'll get a chance to see the updated Mickey's Soundsational Parade and the brand new Mickey's Mix Magic nighttime spectacular as part of Get Your Ears On - A Mickey and Minnie Celebration. In Disney California Adventure Park, the newly re-imagined Pixar Pier overflows with energy. It's an amazing time to enjoy the Disneyland Resort!

While these are fantastic offerings, there are often many things can also affect the demand for hotels in the Disneyland Resort area. Conventions, competitions, and other major events occur in the surrounding area. March also marks the beginning of Spring Break season for many school districts. A lot of planning and forecasting goes into developing the schedules for the Disneyland Resort, including entertainment and park schedules, as well as the selections for which days are designated value, regular, or peak days for ticketing.

My family usually plans our vacation time around school breaks for our children. Sometimes that means increased attendance at the Disneyland Resort. But it also means we usually get to enjoy the parks during seasons when operating hours are extended, entertainment offerings are increased, and attraction refurbishments are less likely. We love that we can enjoy even more of the magic!

Please stop by with any more questions you may have, Cynthia!
