I am thinking about taking a trip to Disney World by myself I have been there a few times with the kids but now they have grown and would like to see and do things at my own pace. I know about single rider lines.Any suggestions for dinner or tours or ect?

    Hi Kathy!

What a fabulous plan you're thinking of for yourself!
There are so many fantastic things that you'd be able to enjoy while touring around Walt Disney World as a single adult.

You may even wish to consider planning around a couple of great times of year that are of particular interest to many adult visitors. Plan your visit to coincide with either the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival (taking place in 2013 from September 27th until November 11th) or in springtime for the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival and you'll find even more fabulous attractions to enjoy at your own, relaxing pace.

There are some fabulous tours geared towards the adult, Disney audience. At the very top of my list would be either the Backstage Magic Tour (7-hour tour spanning all four theme parks) or Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour (3+ hours backstage at Magic Kingdom). For a complete different style of tour, consider Wild Africa Trek. This 3-hour guided safari at Disney's Animal Kingdom includes an African-inspired lunch, up-close encounters and a professional photo CD. It's my favourite experience I've ever enjoyed at Walt Disney World thus far.

When it comes to adult dining, the possibilities really are endless. A few great spots to spend an evening would include Disney's BoardWalk or Downtown Disney areas. Consider a reservation at a casual & fun spot like Paradiso 37, Taste of the Americas, before strolling Downtown Disney's shops or even taking in Cirque du Soleil - La Nouba. For a more upscale, adult evening, consider a reservation at the Chef's Tasting Wine Dinner at Flying Fish Cafe along Disney's BoardWalk.

If you have additional questions or requests for recommendations, I hope you'll write me back soon. I'd love to hear from you again Kathy!

Wishing you a simply Magical time planning your adult, Walt Disney World adventure!

    Kirsten
