Hi Beth!
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is just that: not-so-scary! This special event at Magic Kingdom Park is one of my favorites, I think even more so than
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, which used to be my #1.
Trick-or-treating in the Magic Kingdom is incredible and oh so fun. The treat stations are set up all around the park. It's very casual and no talking is required if your little one is too shy to do so. You'll be given a candy bag when you enter the park or you can bring your own, which we usually do because we always fill up the complimentary candy bags at the party. Each treat station has at least two Cast Members in bright Halloween outfits that are standing next to a big candy bin. You'll follow the line (if there is one) right up to the Cast Members, hold open your bag for the treats to be dropped in and then exit the line. All done! If she doesn't want to participate at first, you can do it for her to show her how it works and she can decide on her own if she'd like to take over or if Mom will be on candy duty throughout the night. You can find all of the treat stations on the special party map and you'll be able to easily spot them by the big light up markers. You can trick-or-treat as much as you'd during the party as well and you'll want to because the treats are great! Mars, Peeps and Werther's Originals were sponsors last year, so our haul at the end of the night was delicious.
If you do a quick Google search about the party, you'll find tons of fan sites with great photos from the party. If it would be helpful, show them to your daughter before you go so she'll know what to expect.
Have a spooktacular day!
Leslie
