Ahoy Marci!
The
Pirate Adventure Cruises are so much fun! My kids have sailed on the Islands of the Caribbean at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort as well as the Grand Floridian Pirate Adventure a bunch of times, which sadly isn't offered anymore. They are and were fantastic pirate adventures and all of the kids came back singing and happy.
The closest Pirate Adventure Cruise to Disney's Art of Animation Resort is the Islands of the Caribbean Adventure Cruise at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. They are right down the street from each other and will share the new
Disney Skyliner which opens later this year.
While I can't personally give you a review of the Albatross Treasure Cruise at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club, I am confident that it's just as fun as the others.
If your kids are reading, send them away now because SPOILER ALERT! Both of the cruises my kids went on sailed around to different Resort hotels and hopped off in search of clues or treasure. At one of the stops, the kids are given a snack and a drink which you pick out prior to setting sail. Once they have completed their adventure, they bring back a big pirate chest which they open on land. The kids are given a bag to fill up with the treasures inside of the chest. There are usually bead necklaces, jewels, tattoos, plastic gold coins and one time my kids were given a $5 arcade card at Caribbean Beach that they were super excited about!
Whichever one you choose, your little pirates are in for a swashbuckling time!
Have a magical day!
