I am thinking about taking my kids to Disney for Halloween. We have been there for Christmas already. Has anyone been there on 10/31 and what is it like for the kids?

Hi Ricky!  If you choose to visit Walt Disney World for Halloween then I strongly suggest you purchase the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party tickets when they go on sale.  A this time we do not have that date but start checking in June.  The Magic Kingdom is the place to be for Halloween night.  The party is a lot of fun and the park is open only to those that have the special event ticket.  Everyone is encouraged to dress up and you will see young and old all decked out in their favorite costumes.  In the past my family has been bowling pins, cell phones, and hotdogs!

There will be many rides and attractions open that night...similar to what is open for the Extra Magic Hours in the park.  You will find trick or treating locations as well as special music and entertainment happening just about everywhere.  The fireworks have a Halloween theme with ghouls and goblins surrounding the castle in lights!  My absolute favorite part of the parade that night is the Headless Horseman's dash down Main Street and through Frontierland!

The good news for this event is if you are not able to attend on Halloween night you can find another date to visit the park for this party.  Everything is the same from the parade to the fireworks to everyone coming in costume.  If you can't get tickets for the 31st you can head to Downtown Disney for the fun that happens there.
