My dh and I are thinking about taking our kids to Disney for a few days for my birthday over Thanksgiving. As Liberty Tree Tavern is all booked out Thanksgiving day; are there other restaurants that will be serving Thanksgiving dinner?

    Hello, Heidi!

Happy upcoming birthday! What a wonderful way to celebrate both your birthday and Thanksgiving, as well...with a trip to Walt Disney World!

Don't worry about being able to order a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at many of the restaurants at WDW; most of them offer a restaurant-specific, traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner in addition to a few of their standard, signature dishes as well. We've had a fantastic dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table on Thanksgiving and were not only thrilled with the entire experience, but also impressed that a few other options were available for those who aren't fans of turkey.

If you'd like an idea of what you might find in a traditional Thanksgiving meal at a Walt Disney World restaurant, head on over to one of my favorite unofficial sites, allears.net. Once there, click on "search" and type in "Thanksgiving menus." You'll see a post titled "Thanksgiving Dining Options at Walt Disney World" which will describe dishes that have been offered on past Thanksgivings in WDW. They do vary from restaurant to restaurant, so take a look and consider if there's something at one of them that sounds simply too delectable to miss!

No matter what, you're sure to find a fabulous, traditional Thanksgiving meal at Walt Disney World restaurants. Have fun exploring, and be sure to send more questions as you think of them; we love to help!
